OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS of Rogue River RubberDuck Rocky Rapids Regatta
Presented by the Upper Rogue Community Center "URCC," a 501 (c)(3) Corporation (tax exempt Charity). Tax ID #93-0792553
1. A maximum of 500 rubber ducks will be entered into each Race.
2. Ducks will be launched on the Rogue River at approximately 11:00, 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00p.m. on Sunday, August 26, 2001. The Race course will be established by the URCC and will be approximately a 3-5 minute Race.
3. All ducks entered will be provided by the URCC and shall remain the property of URCC.
4. Once the ducks are launched, they are on their own. No attempt to free or interfere with any duck is permitted during the actual race, unless deemed necessary by the URCC Race Committee.
5. A number will be attached to each duck relating to the number on the adoption paper. Multiple duck entries from one ticket will be assigned additional duck numbers for identification. The person's name who appears on the entry ticket corresponding to the ducks in order of finish will be awarded prizes. A list of prizes and winners can be obtained from URCC by sending a written request therefore, and a self-addressed stamped return envelope to: URCC Duck Race, Post Office Box 216, Shady Cove, Oregon, 97539.
6. URCC reserves the right, at its sole option, to substitute prizes of comparable value.
7. The combined retail value of all prizes will be at least $500.
8. The entry portion of each adoption paper must be completely filled out and delivered to URCC or an authorized representative of URCC or mailed to URCC at the address set forth in paragraph five (5) above, or e-mailed, and actually received by URCC prior to the Race for a ticket to be eligible to win any prize. No other tickets are eligible to win any prize. Entrants assume the risk of non-delivery of any entries to URCC or an authorized representative of URCC. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older.
9. No purchase necessary in order to enter or win. URCC does request a donation of $5.00 per entry to benefit the Upper Rogue Community Center, a charitable organization under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and other charitable organizations.
10. Winners will be announced at Upper Rogue Regional Park 10 minutes from the conclusion of each Race on August 26, 2001. Entrants will, where necessary, also be notified by United States Postal Service and/or telephone and/or e-mail. Race winners need not be present to win. If any Race winner does not claim his or her prize from the URCC at the address listed in paragraph five (5) above within 30 days after August 26, 2001, URCC will select winner through a random drawing of entry tickets. All prizes will be awarded.
11. No cash equivalent prizes will be provided in lieu of the designated prizes. Any and all taxes and similar fees, including, but not limited to applicable license and registration fees, are the sole responsibility of the winner. Travel restrictions may apply on airline tickets.
12. By entering, entrants release URCC and its officers, directors and staff and other related entities from any and all liability with respect to prizes.
13. By entering, a winner consents to the promotional use of their names and likenesses without additional compensation.
14. Chances of winning depend on the total number of qualified entries.
15. This event is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.
16. The conduct of the Race and the determination of Race winners will be audited the Upper Rogue Community Center Board. All decisions and interpretations of rules and regulations will be made by URCC and the judgement is final.
17. t-shirts may be sold while supplies last.
