Moises was 26 years old and he had a four year old daughter, Carlotta, that he was raising himself. His first wife had left him about a year earlier and did not want a part in raising their daughter.

Gregoria was a nineteen year old widow and had a son, Andrew that was almost three. Moises needed help raising his daughter Carlotta and Gregoria needed help raising her son Andres.

They met as Moises was visiting his cousins and little Andrew was noticed as part of that scene. It was related to Moises, by his cousins, that Andrew was the son of a nice Spanish lady that was left a widow because of the flu.

They asked little Andrew how his mom was doing and Andrew sadly said that his mom had been sleeping. Investigating they found that Gregoria was deathly ill was the flu. Moises chose to stay and nursed Gregoria back to health.

So together with Andrew and Carlotta they became a family. Children born of this union were;

Together for over 50 years until Gregoria passed away in 1971. Many grand children and great grand children to date, Moises passed away in the 80's.
