Wireless

Our Wireless service will allow you to connect to the internet at broadband speeds without the need for a phone or cable line.

Wireless Service Plans:

  • Flat-Rate 10Mbps  $39.95/mo 10 Mbps / 10 Mbps
  • Flat-Rate 20Mbps  $59.95/mo 20 Mbps / 20 Mbps
  • Flat-Rate 30Mbps  $79.95/mo 30 Mbps / 20 Mbps

There is a one-time installation cost for the antenna setup between $150.00 and $250.00

Once the wireless installer comes out to do a site survey, the install cost can be confirmed.

There is a FUP (Fair Use Policy) throttling system.

Here is the actual FUP algorithm and thresholds:

10Mbps flat-rate plans:

  •  - More than 8 Mbps average in last 2 hours limits to 8 Mbps.
  •  - More than 5 Mbps average in last 6 hours limits to 5 Mbps.
  •  - More than 2 Mbps average in last 24 hours limits to 2 Mbps.
  •  - More than 1 Mbps average in last 48 hours limits to 2 Mbps.

20Mbps flat-rate plans:

  •  - More than 16 Mbps avg in last 2 hours limits to 16 Mbps.
  •  - More than 10 Mbps avg in last 6 hours limits to 10 Mbps.
  •  - More than 4 Mbps avg in last 24 hours limits to 4 Mbps.
  •  - More than 2 Mbps avg in last 48 hours limits to 4 Mbps.

30Mbps flat-rate plans:

  •  - More than 24 Mbps avg in last 2 hours limits to 24 Mbps.
  •  - More than 15 Mbps avg in last 6 hours limits to 15 Mbps.
  •  - More than 6 Mbps avg in last 24 hours limits to 6 Mbps.

There is an exception between midnight and noon, accounts are not throttled during that time period as those tend to be low usage hours.  Throttling is only active from noon to midnight.

Note: Operational impediments such as node use, distance, line of site, packet overhead, etc. may cause speeds to vary.  Your actual speed should be between 50 and 90 percent of the speeds listed above.

Equipment installation and agreement:

An installer will set up the internet connection and router.

Computer Country will collect the one-time installation fee.

The equipment agreement is a 3-year contract stating that equipment is to be returned if the service is terminated.

Cancellation Charges:

If an installer comes onsite to setup and test the installation and there is a no one onsite or no installation cancellation, a $75 fee will be charged for the dispatch.

Disconnect procedure:
Required 3 months minimum service.

Wireless broadband benefits:

  • Reduce Your Expenses: Wireless costs you less than traditional land-based lines. When you choose wireless, your "last mile" or "local loop" telephone company fees are eliminated because you no longer pay extra fees for the telephone company to reach your location, fees that can amount to 50% or more of your Internet expenses. T1's or DS-3s are usually much more expensive than wireless.
  • Primary or Backup Connection: Use Wireless as your primary connection to the Internet or as a separate path to the Internet if your main connection fails. With traditional wired services, activities outside of your control (ex. construction occurring outside of your building) could trigger downtime for your office LAN or VPN.
  • Redundancy: Wireless acts as a separate path to the Internet if your main connection fails. If your land-based connection goes down, Wireless continues to stay up. Diversification of your Internet connection allows your network to stay up and running.
  • Customer Support: The finest customer support within the industry. Our Network Management Center is staffed with expert technicians.
  • Serves "Hard-to-Reach" Areas: Wireless is ideal for customers in areas that cannot get other types of Internet service.
